the year. A home visit may be part of a Holiday observance or end of the year celebration. The children love sharing this aspect of their lives with their friends and it involves very little work on the part of the parent. As this activity varies among classes, please check with your child’s teacher. Home visits are optional, so there will be no questions asked if you choose not to host a visit.
Field TripsField trips are an integral part of our program. Trips are taken in conjunction with the topics being covered as a form of reinforcement and expansion of knowledge. They are dependent on the availability of parent volunteers as drivers. Parents give permission for their child to attend field trips on the annual registration form. Parents are notified in advance of a field trip through the monthly newsletter and notification posted outside the classroom. If a Parent prefers a child not go on the field trip, the Teacher must be notified and the child can either stay at home or be cared for in another classroom or in the Office. Parents driving on field trips must have a copy of their current auto insurance and driver’s license on file in the Office. We prefer that Teachers not drive on field trips. There must be enough cars to safely transport the class and Teacher. All children four years of age and under must be secured in an approved child restraint. We prefer that Parents install their child’s car seat in the field trip driver’s car prior to leaving campus. Each driver will carry a Field Trip Folder including emergency medical forms for each child in their vehicle, basic first aid information and important phone numbers. At least one First Aid kit will accompany each class group.
Staff and children must wear some form of identifying tee-shirt, name tag or field trip shirt.
